Zimbabwean international left back Divine lunga has been recognised for a sterling performance in Mamelodi Sundowns 1 nil win over Ulsan in their opening clash at the ongoing FIFA Club World cup in the united States on Wednesday.
Lunga featuriing at left back a sterling game for Masandawana earning widespread praise for a man of the match performance. Key defensive interventions coupled with attacking forrays aided Sundowns in securing the first win by an African club at the FIFA Club world cup.
In a team of the round squad released on Thursday, Lunga was among a squad which was largely dominated by Bayern Munich players. Of the 11 man squad 6 were chosen from Bayern Munich.
Offered with a contract extension by Sundowns, Divine Lunga is proving to be a key asset for the South African side.
