The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has announced an opportunity for creative minds across the nation to partake in the “Warriors Pride: Brand Design Battle.” This campaign, unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday, invites designers to craft distinctive kits for the beloved national football team, the Warriors.

Aimed at harnessing local talent and creativity, this competition challenges participants to conceptualise designs for the Warriors’ home yellow kit, away green kit, and an alternative white kit. The initiative seeks to engage and inspire the Zimbabwean community, fostering a sense of national pride and unity.

The stakes are high, as the winner of this prestigious contest will receive a grand prize of $3000 USD, along with an unforgettable trip to the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
An adjudication panel has been assembled to evaluate the submissions, featuring prominent figures such as Dr. Crispen Sachikonye, Sapi Bachi, Brett van Rooyen, Ebenezer Ayisa, Danayi Madondo, Desmond Maringwa, and Carl Joshua Ncube. Their expertise spans various fields, seeking to ensure a fair and comprehensive assessment of each design.

The “Warriors Pride: Brand Design Battle” is more than just a competition; it symbolizes the fusion of sports and creativity, offering a platform for designers to showcase their skills on a national stage.

Following the launch ZIFA anticipates a wave of innovative entries that will capture the spirit and essence of the Warriors.

With the Warriors preparing set to take part in the Africa cup of Nations it will be interesting to see how creative submissions will be and whether the entries will be good enough to be worn by the national football side.
