MWOS head coach Lloyd Mutasa, expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance following a hard-fought draw against FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium this past Saturday. The goalless draw marked another positive result for MWOS in their debut season in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
In his post-match remarks, Mutasa commended the young squad for their impressive work ethic, both during training sessions and on the field. “Thumbs up to the young lads,” said Mutasa. “They are putting in the effort at training, and it’s showing on the pitch. As long as these youngsters keep their feet on the ground and maintain their belief, we can make a mark. We look up to teams like FC Platinum, who have won the league four times. As newcomers, we must be thirstier and hungrier than the established teams.”
Under Mutasa’s guidance, MWOS have made an impressive start to the 2025 PSL season. With four matches played, the team remains unbeaten, having secured two wins and two draws. This remarkable start has placed MWOS second on the league standings, just two points behind the current leaders, Ngezi Platinum Stars.
Mutasa, a seasoned coach with a wealth of experience from stints at Dynamos, FC Platinum, Flame Lily, Wha Wha FC, and Green Fuel, is keen to leverage his expertise to help MWOS make a significant impact in the top flight. The Norton-based outfit, making their maiden appearance in the PSL after acquiring the ZPC Hwange franchise, is eager to continue their positive strides and establish themselves as a formidable force in Zimbabwean football.
