Jordan Zemura is set to be back in the Udinese squad for their upcoming clash against Genoa on Friday evening. The Zimbabwean international, who has been a pivotal figure in Udinese’s defense, was rested during their recent encounter with Inter Milan as a precautionary measure following his extensive international duties.

Zemura’s absence from the Udinese line-up was primarily due to the gruelling schedule he faced with the Zimbabwe national team. He participated in challenging back-to-back matches against Benin and Nigeria, traveling a staggering 24,416 kilometres by air in the process. This intense itinerary warranted a period of rest to ensure his full recovery and peak performance upon his return.

Udinese, currently seeking to recover from a 2-1 defeat to Inter Milan, will be keen to have Zemura back in their defensive line. His consistent performances at left-back have been instrumental since his move from Bournemouth, providing both defensive solidity and attacking support. As Udinese looks to overturn a series of back-to-back losses, including a defeat to Verona, Zemura’s presence is expected to be a significant boost.

Zemura’s impressive form has not gone unnoticed, with top Italian clubs like AC Milan reportedly keeping a close watch on his progress. Roma, another Serie A heavyweight, is also said to be interested in the burgeoning talent. Since departing the English Premiership, Zemura has shown remarkable growth and maturity, solidifying his reputation as a reliable and dynamic player in Italy’s top flight.

As the match against Genoa approaches, Udinese fans and management alike will be eager to see Zemura back on the pitch, contributing in the clubs quest to finish in the upper half of the Serie A standings.
